Isle of Mull – wet and dreary

Last night’s email said that Isle of Staffa excursion was cancelled (Thursday) and Friday expecting 5m swells. Ferry from Fionnphort to Iona also on alert due to 50km/h southerly buster – ah well (sigh).

So, for entertainment we drove to Duart Castle – up and back on this road – not one on which you hold a conversation. 🤣

This just about summed up the day . .

Otter habitat – tomorrow we hope
Duart Castle – home of the Maclean family, on and off since 14thC – construction is thought to have begun in the 13th and somewhere along the years occupation was ceded to the Clan Campbell. Clan Maclean bought it back in about 1911 – current occupant is the 28th Chief of Clan Maclean
